How to start a Youtube channel (as a musician)

Getting your music on Youtube is an essential step in your online music marketing plan. It’s a perfect way to start connecting with your audience, get your music out there and see what works and what doesn’t.

Setting up a Youtube channel is a straightforward process, so you will probably be done within 15 minutes. After that, you can instantly start uploading your first music video!

Let’s start a Youtube Channel!

To start a Youtube channel, you will need a Google account. You can create one on YouTube by going to YouTube.com, clicking on the Sign in button and choosing the option below:

Afterwards, you follow the steps of the sign up process. It is pretty straightforward, don’t worry 🙂

After you have finished the sign-up process, you can enter your YouTube channel by logging in to YouTube with your newly created account!

Uploading your first video

After logging into your Youtube account, your channel will be created after you perform a Youtube Creator action. That means that by posting a comment or uploading a video, your channel will be active!
